Out-of-court settlement of disputes:
In case of disputes between lawyers and their clients, it is possible to request an out-of-court settlement mediated by the Cologne Bar Association (according to Section 73 (2) No. 3 in conjunction with Section 73 (5) BRAO (Federal Lawyers’ Act)) or via the Schlichtungsstelle der Rechtsanwaltschaft (Arbitration Board of the Legal Profession) Section 191 et seq. BRAO) of the Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer (Federal Bar Association), which can be found at the Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer (BRAK) website www.brak.de or the website of the Schlichtungsstelle der Rechtsanwaltschaft (Arbitration Board of the Legal Profession) www.schlichtungsstelle-der-rechtsanwaltschaft.de.

We are not willing or obliged to participate in a dispute settlement procedure before the consumer mediation body (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle).
